I read an assumption somewhere that Satan’s great plan could’ve been the gods of Olympus. That he assumed God was fading or losing a part of himself when creating man, so they would take the place of God and be the Earth’s rulers instead of men’s servants. That would mean the devil hoped he would mercilessly rule over us and we would worship him, and the gods would toy with us as they pleased, just like the greek myths show them doing. Well, we then should be so glad that God never changes because leaving us in the hands of Zeus and Hades would be so catastrophic.

Wow, maybe we know what the Devil’s plan partly was but that’s of no value to us. The plan of God is of value and we are yet to know it fully. But how glad we ought to be that Olympus has fallen and man has retained their glory as Co Creators.

Angels are gifted differently and a third of them fell with Satan. So it does make sense that Poseidon would rule the oceans, hades hell etc and they would rule where they were best gifted. But that meant man would become sport for their pleasure.

After all , Lucifer was jealous of man, atleast most tales say so. Having someone so eager to destroy you rule over you would’ve been hell on earth. But we are so grateful that God is Who He Is. We are no sport for the devil, we are the Children of the Most High, the Holy God and God of all Order.

So,even while we go around telling greek myths, we do know that the drought season doesn’t come because Persephone is in morning but because God is a God of Order and His great plan includes a season for crops to be harvested and dried, each season he did put in place for a reason and even while chaos comes in because the World is Decaying due to our sin, still we know He holds the whole World in his hands and He Remains Forever in Control. Not even global warming can end the world without His Permission.

I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the
stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on
the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above
the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High”

(Isa. 14:12-14).
