We talk of legacy
Family legacy ,
The values we will keep on,
The lessons our grandfather taught us.

How great our great grandmother was,
The precedence they set,
Our family tree,
All so beautiful.

The love they showed us,
The sacrifices they made for us
The great things they left us.

But sorry to break it to you,
All that is sand,
You can’t forget to build upon the rock.

This pains me so much,
I can’t tell why,
Maybe I had an amazing lineage.

But all that is like sand,
When the storms come,
All is lost,
You don’t want
To build your house once more.

Build only on the firm foundation,
The Rock of calvary,
The lion and the lamb.

What’s even more, there are no perfect lineages, The perfect lamb of God, is descended from King David too. And He wasn’t perfect.

If lineage mattered,
The lamb of God
Would never have died for the world.

I read this blog about whether God is a murderer because of the murders in Egypt ? I mean I have never thought of it that way. But you might wanna consider Sodom and Gomorrah, Noah’s story, the wars Israel fought etc etc. Yes, God accepted alot of innocent deaths to me and that ain’t a big deal, the author of life, giver and sustainer can take that life when he pleases. It’s just not what I will be talking about today .

I want to talk about Christianity. In every religion,I assume, there are good people, the holier than thous and the bad guys . So it is with Christianity, though we rather say the good guys are not holy or better but they are definitely the chosen ones, which kinda looks like the same thing.

But in a muslim trial or Hindu trial, Adolf Hitler would go to hell and Mahatma Ghandi ,heaven, fair trial right there . Or these religions could say they are not in a position to make those judgements.

But in Christianity, it’s a different story. In a trial,both Mahatma Ghandi and Adolf Hitler would go to hell. I’m not saying Christians are more eager to judge , But;

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.St. John 3:36 Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. "St. John 3:3 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.St. John 14:6

So, considering that, the man we believe good and sacrificial, the beloved Mahatma Ghandi, might just not be in eternity forever with God. Same applies for Nelson Mandela, Buddha , Prophet Muhammad, Abraham Lincoln etc etc. Okay I love some of these great men and I don’t wanna be using them as an example .

All these amazing men who humanly speaking would obviously qualify, wouldn’t because they probably didn’t know Christ, probably. Okay this already feels extreme .

Issue is , God chose Abraham,a man whose weaknesses we can so easily find, then Isaac, then Jacob and the twelve sons. It’s one thing when God chooses a man, another thing when that man becomes a Nation, when God chooses an entire Nation. I mean don’t you think he should maybe have chosen Rome which would have stopped alot of bloodshed, or maybe Iraq,I mean Musilms are so loyal to Allah. But no matter which Nation God chose, they were doomed to fail as a theocracy.

So God chooses Israel, now Israel is alot of people, for instance King Jehu ,who slaughters an entire lineage, Korah ,who rises against Moses or Ahab who leads to the massacre of many prophets. At the time God rescued Israel from Egypt, there must have been alot of disgusting sinners in Israel. Moses was a murderer. So yes,all people, including the Egyptians belong to God but He chose Israel. And like many ruthless murderers and maybe rapists were rescued among the people of Israel, many innocents and really good people perished among the Egyptians, the sons payed for the Sins of the Fathers, something God detests. And though we know He never changes, He doesn’t owe us an explanation as to why it had to be done that way . But out of love,he can offer it and sadly I’m not answering that either.

But God is love ,yes, but you can never forget He is also a Judge. This is the fate of humanity, God created us for worship and when we turn from Him and think we can serve the gods we please, even though those gods be goodliness , we will be condemned to death. The penalty of Sin is death. Humanity has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,does that ring a bell

When men nolonger sought after God, he chose a Nation, set them apart and made a deal with them , he as always bought them at an expensive price,in slavery ,the first born sons of their enemies perished, he promised safety , he stopped the Sun and it rained food just for them, And in exchange for the protection ,food, and everything else, literally everything God gives us, they were to serve Him alone, a thing plenty of pagan Nations did for false gods but one Chosen Nation couldn’t do for the Almighty,God alone. They were to love their neighbors and live in harmony but they broke all rules and forgot that there were repurcussions for that.

We never try to say there are good and bad people. All are sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God and the penalty due is death. But those who believe in Christ are saved by the blood of the Holy One,Of the lamb. Just like the Passover in Egypt, safety didn’t lie in being the kindest or nicest fellow in town, but on a door covered in a Lamb’s blood,as simple as that. The line drawn is simply between Worshippers and Sinners!

I guess the big question of humanity should be, Why is the penalty death?can’t it be anything else? How could God doom the whole World to death, is he really love? But I doubt we would be too crazy to ask that?

Ofcourse there are million dollar questions like, What’s heaven like, Is it worth us losing earth over? What will God do about all those babies who are aborted and those who die so little unable to understand anything? Do those little ones really deserve judgment? And what about the people who have never heard the gospel? And why didn’t Jesus come way earlier? What did God have to offer before Christ, a covenant he was certain people would break? And how can all our good deeds go unrewarded, that will be so unfair? I honestly don’t think we have the answers to all the questions!

But I’m honored to fulfill the purpose I was created for, fellowship with the God of all Creation .

Flowers are quite a beauty in the world,
They are of different shades and shapes,
Some blue,white,pink ,red
Others yellow and purple.
We have come to stop and admire them.

They did become symbols soon,
Of love,romance and death,
All in our various stories.
And they are a blessing
We give them to our dear ones,
Lovers,patients,and the departed .

What is more ,the most famous is a rose
And for it, different shades represent different things as they come in various colours. I guess red roses symbolise romance but given it’s colour of blood, even death. White ones symbolise love and friendship.
I wonder what other colours represent.
I guess different colours mean different things , to the different people in different societies.

We give bouquets for the living,
And wreaths are beautifully made for the dead. Crowns are also made from flowers.
But my messiah wore no flower crown ,
But only that of thorns.
Corsages endow the hands of girls at parties and wreaths make our doors look festive during Christmas.

Who can tell the various kinds of flowers we have or even how so faithfully they have served us. They make trees look so beautiful
The world is surely a better place with them around
Their beauty we look on with awe.

This makes me stop and realize, they are one of the most amazing blessings God has bestowed upon us.
We hardly even get to know their names , yet ,they again and again make us stop in admiration. The beautiful horizons ,sunsets ,dawn ,glittering stars
We can’t reach ,oceans ,blue skies,
All we admire less, compared to flowers.

We hold them ,smell them ,stare at them
They blossom and then there’s our chance,
We play with them, sell them ,buy them, destroy them, etc
But they keep growing, and we keep on being amazed and doing the best to destroy those tender beauties.
I wonder why YHWH created such beautiful things to last for such a short while and yet make so huge a difference.

# The flowers are all a courtesy of p-interest .

Usually for me what gives Jesus Christ first place is that He is real and Superman isn’t , but I guess that person has set a challenge for me to look at it differently.

So I have watched Superman before, obviously. I have watched the serie, Smallville, the movie, and even the cartoon series. This superhero can truly be Charming.

But real life ain’t all about thieves around the corner , murderers, creeps etc. Worse still ,there won’t be a General Zord attacking us from the sky or some other creature that will put the fate of all of life on planet earth at stake. And life is not always about all of humanity and the planet.

Alot of times it’s about us, our jobs, our families ,our friends, out responsibilities. Alot of times the battles we are fighting are fear ,failure, hopelessness, depression. Most of our battles are inner battles ,struggles of who we are, what life really means ,whether we are worthy or even have a place anywhere. Those inner battles could be addictions that are keeping us from fulfilling our duty. I don’t know ,has there ever been an episode of our flying friend helping someone battle maybe even something physical like cancer, can he always be there.

You know, in the Bible, our greatest enemy is not exactly the devil even when it’s the devil , it’s sin. Life is all about God and we have fallen short of the glory of our creator. That’s why we need redemption. But humanity just wants to question, is God even real. We wanna rebel so much and we have gotten so far that we don’t even think we need a Saviour. I guess in a way even Church has somehow become like the Law, it’s there mostly to show us that we are sinners ,in need of redemption and it is not a place where the redeemed gather like it’s supposed to be. I guess alot of times sinners have to go so low and fail so bad at the altar of their sin before even noticing they fall short of the Glory of the Holy one and that it’s all about Him, every breath we take, it’s all about Him . So yes, it’s all about God no matter now scary that sounds.

I mean people actually think what keeps religion going is fear and the threats of eternal damnation ,hell etc But religion is primarily a pagan idea and philosophy and I doubt they had a hell to use as a threat for people to stay, it was in an odd way, about community, not about God and that’s where it fell short alot of times before the extras of idol worship, human sacrifices, etc.

Wait, this should be about our flying hero, saviour of the world from aliens, Lex Luther and that other imaginary stuff, an imaginary hero saves from imaginary stuff obviously, they create him something to match his powers. It’s the way fantasies work.

But yes, I totally understand how someone born and raised in a brutal religion can think that way. Yes, I too while attending Church and choir alot of times in the Roman Catholic Church, would rather cry for Superman like when he died in the movie Batman V SuperMan than drop a tear over that Messiah on the cross, somehow I could say he meant alot to me and at the same time, never even notice him . In a way, I never noticed the Cross, never did it occur to me that He was there because of my sin even while I sung about it so I understand his sentiments. Christ in Church was in a way a fantasy hero for me,never a reality and I never had to face Him as such.

As for the claim that Christ doesn’t love unconditionally, my dear,if you still care for the truth, you need to leave Church ,I know the benefits of Church but what use is it if you don’t really know Christ. Know the real Truth about Christ. This person is so misinformed about Christ.

But that flying fantasy hero cannot rival Christ, a fantasy world is nothing but silly dreams so while you are at it, imagine you are Superman himself too or atleast Lewis Lane, you don’t wanna be Lex Luther or the poor fella who blows up in the building when Superman turns up late.

You know in some song, whenever I heard them sing, no kingdom,no power,no rival,no equal can stand against the great IAM , I would wonder what they meant by no rival and ask isn’t that the same as no equal. No rival actually means no enemy but it also means no one close enough to equal him, like if it was kick boxing, after assessing the opponent and weighing him etc ,he wouldn’t qualify for the fight. That’s the same for any heroes out there, fictional or non fictional.

If you haven’t watched Superman, please don’t watch it, ever. And this is really just about that link.

I finally watched the movie, how thrilling. I mean it was such a touching and beautiful story but I understood why some people didn’t like it much.

I know Jesus Christ wasn’t the main Character but the incorporations of Christ that they made were so misleading. I hope no one is crazy enough to consider their tale true. Also a tale where Christ ain’t the central figure ain’t my ideal tale, why include Him at all.

It’s quite easy to notice the touching story doesn’t fit into the Christ tale. I mean during Jesus’ time, Rome wasn’t trying to take over Jerusalem, Rome was already ruling in Jerusalem and had been for a long time. They had spent forty years building the Jerusalem temple and they were not considered a threat. Jews were already paying taxes to Rome and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were getting along well with Rome, you can’t see that in Ben Hur.

First, I don’t see Jesus Christ being needy for attention like in the first scene he is shown in Ben Hur . I don’t see him getting involved in a conversation out of the blue , a conversation where he won’t be taken seriously. In the Bible, when Jesus talked, it wasn’t to be taken lightly. He talked either to people who approached Him or His followers or people interested in what He had to say. Those who rejected Him and almost stoned Him when He was talking to them did it in the temple, in the house of prayer, God’s place of Worship. Jesus had rights to be in that place.

I don’t see Jesus stepping in to save a man from being stoned and trying to protect the man and being hit in the process. Not that it’s impossible or that Christ wouldn’t do that. But when the ministry of Jesus begun, he mattered, He was always noticed wherever he went, if he were in a place, people would first ask if it’s acceptable to stone before starting to throw stones,in a way, Jesus was a leader even when He was never interested in Roman politics and Church politics.

Then the bit where Jesus stepped in and gave Judah Ben Hur water. I don’t see the possibility of Jesus being caught up in such a scenario. It could have never happened. Plus , wherever Jesus went during his ministry, he was followed by thousands, those in need of healing and many others. If Jesus is being followed by thousands, how would that scenario have happened. A scenario in which Jesus can’t help a person, odd , but I don’t see it happening. In a way there was peace during the time Jesus walked on this earth. God chose the times himself.

Oh, then there’s that crucifixion. It was a fairly good depiction in the movie but first of all, Jesus’death wasn’t primarily a political issue, the Romans didn’t feel threatened. The Pharisees and teachers of the law felt threatened. Jesus’ trial went through phases. And the people He walked with shouted, Crucify Him. It was no minor event. When he walked on the face of the earth, everyone noticed Him. Everyone talked of Him. The Roman soldiers reached out to Him for healing. The Pharisees spied on Him. The Roman leader feared Him. The Ben Hur tale doesn’t seem to show all that.

If the Ben Hur tale was just an honest tale of a man struggling during the time Jesus’ walked on the earth and a family facing alot, that tale would still be false and a lie. It’s a movie I really wouldn’t recommend to anybody ever . I mean it’s a fantasy or thriller, I doubt those dangerous games really took place in history even . But a fantasy in which you include the Redeemer, and moreso depict Him in that manner, is an awful tale. It just feels like fantasy crossing the line, I don’t even know what to call it. It’s one thing if your movie is about a Bible Character like Samson or David, then you can incorporate as many lies as you please but if that tale is about Jesus Christ, you are crossing the line.

I have dealt with this issue before because I watch alot of movies, it’s crazy in a Vampire tale when you listen to a dialogue where someone says, I’m my own light in my world and in a way you are sure it’s just an attack on the gospel of John where Jesus said I’m the light of the world. My wording ain’t even good enough ,the author clearly makes sure you can grab that hint by using the exact wording of the verses somehow.

I know Christ is for all nations so to me it’s fine when people ridicule Him, make stupid jokes like modern Jesus ,draw silly pictures , insult Him, it’s okay so I don’t quite understand why this is just more frustrating and unacceptable? But I know what matters is the Truth. I guess I was really just bothered because I watched it with my little brother and he didn’t seem to notice anything wrong, I mean why would he even notice?

Lord, help me ,
To trust only in you
For my daily bread.

Help me , to not be so grumpy all the time,
To get rid of bitterness ,
To see the beauty around me.

Remind me that strength comes from you
And so does every blessing
From all of my hard work.

Lord, let me not to be weary,
But cast my burden unto you
Because you promised to carry it.

Remind me to laugh at simple things,
Tell silly jokes, And be a little
Unserious every once in a while.

Teach me to listen to the younger people,
To know that their story matters
Just as much as mine.

Help me know that though
They are not burdened with
Having to earn a living,
They are still just as weary

More importantly, help me remember,
That it maybe so hard at forty,
But life was hard even at sixteen.

The dilemma of life,
If God made man ,who made God.
I know God has no end and most
Certainly no beginning,
But who he made me denies me the
Ability to grasp all that.

If disobedience occurred in the heavens,
What guarantee is there that we really are eternal beings, and that in the kingdom to come, we shall forever live in joy.
Truth be told Christ is that guarantee,
Still that doesn’t help fully answer the questions.

But another truth, and one we never doubt is death. Somehow all of life can remain meaningless despite our effort to make it count,
And whether it’s pleasing or not,
It’s God alone that makes life meaningful,
It’s to Him alone that we should turn,
The God of everything.

It’s in him that we will trust,
And he says though shalt live eternally,
And that this life shall count for something, we wisely agree.
We believe because he said it,
After all, we know that when a robot goes,
“Emotions, can’t compute, system
failure, “in our fantasies, doesn’t mean emotions ain’t real.

And nature testifies there’s a maker,
Who is a gazillion times better than us,
So we fulfill our soul’s longing , and worship the name above every other name. And even today, He goes an extra mile to prove He is real ,even when logic says He can’t be real. All nature must say ,”We worship you , Lord.”

I love your bravery, you’re so set on courage,in the midst of the storm.
I’m dazzled by your strength,
You’re so hardened by all the
hurts life has dared to throw at you.

Yet still I wish I would see a tear,
Just one sign of pain.
It’s so I can know you care
So I can know your heart,
is still tender and warm.
Do you have sympathy even now,
or compassion and kindness?
Are you still human?

You can say l’m asking for a lot,
But I’ve known true beauty on a cross,
The Greatest One crowned with thorns,
scorned and mocked.
And I’ve known it to be true
that he is King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s.

How then can you say tears are for the weak? Or that pity is for losers?
Yet the mightiest of all wept!
And he is no weakling.
